Eternal summer.

The Canary Islands offer something rare: warm, reliable sailing all year round. This Spanish archipelago off the northwest coast of Africa enjoys an eternal spring-into-summer climate, making it a superb escape when the Mediterranean turns cold. The seven volcanic islands are dramatically varied — from the lunar landscapes of Lanzarote to the laurel forests of La Gomera and the towering peak of Tenerife’s Mount Teide — and the deep Atlantic waters between them are among the best places in the world to see whales and dolphins. A crewed catamaran lets you island-hop in warmth whatever the season.

Our crewed catamarans can be arranged for the Canaries, ready to show you year-round sunshine and volcanic beauty.

Canary Islands Yacht Charters

A crewed catamaran is a fine way to explore the Canaries’ dramatic islands and warm Atlantic waters. The reliable climate means superb sailing in any season, and a catamaran’s stability suits the open-water passages between islands. Your crew handles the sailing and the local knowledge — where the whales gather, which volcanic anchorage to choose, which island for the night — while you enjoy eternal summer.

Warm in every season, dramatically volcanic and rich in whales — the Canaries are a year-round escape.

Canary Islands Yacht Charter Highlights

Canary Islands offers some of the most rewarding sailing in the Mediterranean — warm seas, beautiful coastlines, and anchorages from glamorous to gloriously remote.

The waters off southwest Tenerife are among the best in the world for resident whales and dolphins.

Sail beneath Spain’s highest peak, the volcanic cone of Teide rising above Tenerife’s clouds.

Anchor off otherworldly black-lava coastlines and explore the island’s lunar Timanfaya landscapes.

Drop anchor off the tiny car-free island and marine reserve, with golden beaches and clear water.

Enjoy warm, reliable sailing weather in any month — a rare escape when Europe turns cold.

A Week in the Canaries

A sample week island-hopping the western Canaries — volcanoes, whales and warmth, tailored by your crew.

Welcome aboard in Marina Rubicón on Lanzarote’s south coast, then a short crossing to La Graciosa — a single sandy track of an island in the Chinijo archipelago. Anchor in turquoise water off Playa Francesa for a first swim before sunset.

Sail south along Fuerteventura’s untamed northern coast, anchoring at Corralejo for a beach lunch on the white-dune shoreline. The afternoon is yours to walk, snorkel or simply read on deck.

A longer downwind sail across to Gran Canaria’s south-west tip. Drop anchor in Puerto de Mogán’s cliff-sheltered bay and dine ashore among the bougainvillea.

Cross to Tenerife with Mount Teide on the horizon. Pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins are regular companions on this passage — a quiet, attentive sail.

A short hop to La Gomera’s San Sebastián. The island is laurel-forest wilderness — consider a half-day ashore to Garajonay National Park before returning aboard for sundowners.

Sail to La Palma, the steepest island in the Atlantic. Tazacorte’s small marina sits beneath dramatic cliffs; a quiet evening of stargazing under one of the world’s clearest skies.

A relaxed return passage with one final swim at sea before disembarking. Optional tender excursion to the Anaga peninsula by request.
