The Region

The Balearic playground.

The Balearic Islands are the Mediterranean’s summer playground. Within a compact, sun-drenched archipelago off the Spanish coast, you can move from the glamorous beach clubs and nightlife of Ibiza to the impossibly turquoise lagoons of Formentera, the wild northern calas of Mallorca, and the quiet, unspoilt charm of Menorca. Distances are short, the water is warm and clear, and the islands offer everything from buzzing harbours to deserted anchorages. A private crewed catamaran is the perfect way to taste them all at your own pace.

Our crewed catamarans sail the Balearics through the summer, ready to show you the islands’ turquoise coves and lively harbours.

Spain Yacht Charters

A crewed catamaran is the ideal way to experience the Balearics. The short hops between islands mean more time swimming and exploring, and a catamaran’s shallow draft lets you anchor in the shallow turquoise lagoons of Formentera and the hidden calas of Mallorca. Your crew handles the sailing and the local knowledge — the best beach club, the quietest cove, the perfect sunset anchorage.

Glamour and seclusion, buzz and serenity — the Balearics let you have the Spanish summer exactly as you like it.

Spain Yacht Charter Highlights

Spain offers some of the most rewarding sailing in the Mediterranean — warm seas, beautiful coastlines, and anchorages from glamorous to gloriously remote.

Anchor off the turquoise shallows of Ses Illetes — water so clear and blue it rivals the Caribbean.

Anchor off the west coast for the famous Ibiza sunset, then step ashore for a legendary beach club dinner.

Explore the hidden coves of Mallorca’s dramatic Tramuntana coast, accessible best from the water.

Swim in the unspoilt turquoise calas of the quieter island — a protected biosphere of natural beauty.

Sail past the mystical rock island off Ibiza, rising dramatically from the sea — a magical sundowner spot.

7 Days in the Balearics

A classic week island-hopping the Balearics — turquoise coves and lively harbours, tailored by your crew.

Boarding in Palma de Mallorca, then a sail south to the Cabrera archipelago — a protected national park. Anchor in the main bay and walk to the castle for sunset.

Sail back north along Mallorca’s south-east coast. Anchor at Cala Pi or Cala Llombards for a deep-water swim before dinner on board.

A longer crossing west to Ibiza. Anchor at Cala Benirás — bohemian, drum-circled at sunset — for a first evening on the island.

A short hop south to Formentera. Lunch at Es Caló beach club, then a long lazy afternoon at anchor over translucent water.

A morning move to Espalmador — a tiny private islet with a single sand beach. Walk to the natural mud baths if you wish.

Sail back to Ibiza for a closing night in the harbour beneath the UNESCO-listed Dalt Vila. Dinner ashore in the old town.

A final crossing back to Palma. Optional swim stop at Cala Salada en route.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Balearics pack remarkable variety into a compact, sun-drenched archipelago: the glamour of Ibiza, the turquoise lagoons of Formentera, the dramatic coast of Mallorca and the unspoilt calm of Menorca. Short distances mean you can taste them all in a single week.

June to September is the season. July and August are hottest, busiest and liveliest, especially in Ibiza; June and September are warm and quieter. The islands are reliably sunny throughout the summer.

Not at all. While Ibiza is famous for its clubs and beach bars, it also has serene coves, beautiful anchorages and a quieter northern side. By yacht you can enjoy the glamour when you want it and slip away to peaceful water when you don’t.

Most begin in Palma de Mallorca, which has excellent international air connections and is a major yachting hub. Charters can also start in Ibiza. Our team coordinates flights, transfers and private aviation.

Yes. The short hops, warm calm water and beautiful beaches make the Balearics excellent for families. Menorca and Formentera in particular offer sheltered, shallow coves ideal for children, with plenty to enjoy ashore.

July and August are busy, especially the popular anchorages and Ibiza’s harbours. A catamaran lets you anchor away from the crowds and reach quieter calas. June and September are noticeably calmer. Our crew knows where to find space even in high season.

“What a week aboard Mischievous! Thank you for being so generous in having us for the week in Mallorca. It is a beautiful island to cruise around”

“I hosted an Ocean OrientedTM Experience for my group in Spain and it was one of the most impressive parts of our trip. The underwater photography and videography Dr. Bira’s team created from the water training wowed us all. We came away with a better connection to the ocean, ourselves, and each other. Highly recommend.”
