The Region

The Coral Triangle.

Indonesia’s seventeen thousand islands sit at the heart of the Coral Triangle, the most biodiverse marine region on earth. For sailors and divers it is a kind of paradise: the prehistoric drama of Komodo, with its dragons, pink-sand beaches and manta-filled channels; and the remote, almost untouched reefs of Raja Ampat, widely regarded as the finest diving in the world. Warm seas, jungle-clad islands and water teeming with life make a crewed catamaran charter here a genuine expedition into one of the planet’s last great wildernesses.

Our crewed catamarans can be arranged for Indonesian waters, ready to take you into the Coral Triangle’s wonders.

Indonesia Yacht Charters

A crewed catamaran is a wonderful base for exploring Indonesia’s wild islands and reefs. The space and stability suit longer expedition-style voyages, and a shallow draft opens up remote anchorages and dive sites. Your crew handles the navigation of these far-flung waters and the local knowledge — where the mantas gather, which beach the dragons roam, which reef is at its best — while you experience one of the world’s last great marine wildernesses.

Prehistoric, pristine and teeming with life — Indonesia is for those who want a genuine expedition under sail.

Indonesia Yacht Charter Highlights

Indonesia offers some of the most rewarding sailing in the Mediterranean — warm seas, beautiful coastlines, and anchorages from glamorous to gloriously remote.

Step ashore on Komodo or Rinca to see the world’s largest lizards in the wild, with expert guides.

Dive or snorkel the most biodiverse reefs on earth, alive with colour and teeming with marine life.

Snorkel or dive among gliding manta rays in the channels of Komodo National Park.

Anchor off Komodo’s famous rose-tinted sand, one of only a handful of pink beaches in the world.

Hike to the iconic viewpoint over Padar’s three crescent bays — one of Indonesia’s most photographed vistas.

A Week in Komodo

A sample expedition week through Komodo National Park — dragons, mantas and pink beaches, tailored by your crew.

Welcome aboard in Labuan Bajo, then a short sail to Rinca Island. A guided trek to see Komodo dragons in their natural habitat — fewer crowds than Komodo Island itself.

A morning sail to Padar — the island of three coloured beaches. Hike to the iconic ridge for the panoramic view at golden hour.

Cross to Komodo Island. A second dragon trek through the savannah, then snorkel Pink Beach in the afternoon — the sand is naturally rose-coloured.

A drift snorkel at Manta Point — Karang Makassar — where mantas circle through the current in groups of ten or more in season (April–November).

Sail to Gili Lawa Darat for a sunset hike up the famous ridge. Anchor in the still lagoon below for one of the trip’s most beautiful nights.

A morning passage to Banta — a wilder, less-visited island. Snorkel reefs untouched by mass tourism, sundowners on deck.

A final relaxed sail back to Labuan Bajo with one last swim along the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Indonesia sits at the heart of the Coral Triangle, the most biodiverse marine region on earth. It offers the prehistoric drama of Komodo — dragons, pink beaches, mantas — and the pristine reefs of Raja Ampat, considered the finest diving in the world. It is a true expedition destination.

For Komodo, April to October is the dry season and prime time. Raja Ampat is best from October to April. The grounds have opposite ideal seasons, so the timing depends on which you wish to visit. Our team will advise based on your dates.

Exceptionally — it is among the very best in the world. Raja Ampat has the richest marine biodiversity on earth, and Komodo offers mantas, vibrant reefs and dramatic drop-offs. Whether you dive or simply snorkel, the underwater world is extraordinary.

Komodo charters begin in Labuan Bajo on Flores, reached via Bali. Raja Ampat charters start from Sorong in West Papua. Both involve connecting flights within Indonesia; our team coordinates the full journey including private aviation.

Yes. Visits to see the dragons on Komodo and Rinca are made ashore with expert park rangers who ensure a safe and respectful encounter with these remarkable animals in their natural habitat.

It can be a wonderful family expedition for those with a sense of adventure and an interest in wildlife and the sea. The dragons, mantas and reefs captivate all ages. As a more remote, expedition-style destination, it suits older children and active families best.
