The Region

A sea of islands.

Greece is where the idea of the voyage was born. Six thousand islands and islets scatter across the Aegean and Ionian seas, each with its own character — some barely more than a chapel and a harbour, others crowned with whitewashed towns that glow at dusk. To sail here is to move through the cradle of seafaring, dropping anchor in coves that have welcomed boats for three thousand years. Mornings begin in glassy bays; afternoons drift past volcanic cliffs and olive-silvered hillsides; evenings end with the clink of ouzo in a quayside taverna. This is the Mediterranean at its most timeless — and from the deck of a private catamaran, entirely your own.

From the volcanic Cyclades to the verdant Ionian, ten crewed catamarans make Greece their home waters — each chosen for comfort, character and the quiet expertise of the crew aboard.

Greece Yacht Charters

A crewed catamaran charter in Greece is the most rewarding way to experience the islands — combining the freedom to roam with the comfort of a private floating home. Wake where you choose, swim before breakfast, and let your crew handle the sailing, the cooking and the local knowledge while you simply enjoy the sea.

Whether you dream of the dramatic Cyclades or the gentle Ionian, our Greek fleet pairs you with the right yacht and crew for your party, your dates and your pace.

Greece Yacht Charter Highlights

Greece offers some of the most rewarding sailing in the world — thousands of islands, three thousand years of seafaring history, and anchorages that range from glamorous to gloriously remote.

Anchor beneath the sheer volcanic cliffs of the world’s most photographed crater, and watch the sun sink behind Oia from the water — far from the crowds above.

Moor in the old harbour and step ashore into the Cyclades’ most glamorous island, where waterfront bars and Little Venice come alive at night.

On the Ionian island of Zakynthos, swim through luminous sea caves and anchor off the iconic Navagio beach, reachable only by sea.

Step ashore on one of the most important archaeological sites in the Mediterranean, an entire sacred island uninhabited since antiquity.

The Greek table is half the pleasure: grilled octopus, fresh-caught fish and village wine at quayside tavernas your crew knows by name.

7 Days in the Cyclades

Seven unhurried days through the heart of the Cyclades — a sample voyage your crew will tailor to the winds, your mood and the anchorages you fall for along the way.

Boarding at Lavrio, then a short sail to Kea — the closest Cycladic island to Athens. Anchor at Vourkari for a first quiet dinner ashore.

A relaxed morning sail to Kythnos. Swim at Kolona’s double beach, then an evening at anchor under a wide Aegean sky.

Coastal hops south through Serifos and Sifnos — small classical chorae perched above whitewashed harbours.

A longer crossing to Folegandros. Climb to the cliff-edge chora for one of the Cyclades’ most cinematic views.

Sail to Santorini and anchor inside the caldera. Sundowners on board, the volcanic rim glowing behind you.

Sail north to Paros and anchor near Naoussa — perhaps the prettiest harbour-town in the islands. Dinner ashore.

Close the loop with a relaxed final passage back to Athens, with one last swim stop on the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Greece offers an unrivalled combination of sailing variety, ancient culture and natural beauty. With thousands of islands, reliable summer winds and a charter cruising heritage second to none, it suits everyone from seasoned sailors drawn to the Cyclades to families seeking the calm of the Ionian. A crewed catamaran lets you reach hidden anchorages the crowds never see.

The season runs from late April to October. June and September are ideal — warm, sunny and less crowded, with gentler winds. July and August are hottest and liveliest, with the stronger meltemi wind in the Cyclades. The Ionian stays calmer all season, making it the better choice for relaxed sailing in peak summer.

The Cyclades deliver the iconic Greece — Santorini, Mykonos, whitewashed villages and dramatic seas best suited to confident sailors. The Ionian is greener, calmer and more sheltered, perfect for families and first-timers. Many guests combine both across a longer charter; our team will advise based on your dates, experience and the mood you’re after.

Our Greek fleet is built around spacious crewed sailing catamarans — stable, light-filled and ideal for island-hopping in comfort. They range from intimate yachts for a single family to larger flagships for groups of up to twelve, each with professional crew, water toys and chef-prepared meals aboard.

Most charters begin near Athens (Alimos or Lavrion marina) or, for the Ionian, from Corfu or Lefkada. Athens International Airport and Corfu Airport are well connected to Europe and beyond. Our team coordinates transfers from airport to yacht, and can arrange private aviation if preferred.

Greece is part of the EU and the Schengen Area. EU citizens travel freely; many other nationalities, including UK, US, Canadian and Australian visitors, may enter visa-free for short stays. Requirements vary by nationality, so we recommend confirming current rules before travel — our team is happy to assist.

Greek is the official language, but English is very widely spoken across the islands, in marinas, tavernas and tourist areas. Your crew speaks English, so communication is never a concern aboard or ashore.

Greece uses the Euro (EUR). Cards are accepted in most places, though it is wise to carry some cash for small tavernas, village shops and remote islands where card facilities may be limited.

Light, breathable clothing, swimwear, a hat and reef-safe sun cream are essentials. Bring soft-soled shoes for the deck, a light layer for breezy evenings under sail, and something smart-casual for dinners ashore in the more cosmopolitan ports.
