Dream Yacht, Navigare and SamBoat Change Hands: What It Means for Your Charter

What is changing hands

Dream Yacht Charter, founded in the Seychelles in 2000, and Navigare Yachting, founded in 2001, together run a fleet of more than 750 yachts — from bareboat to crewed charter and cabin cruises. SamBoat, launched in Bordeaux in 2014, is a booking platform listing more than 36,400 boats in 75 countries. Marine Business describes the combined group as one of the world’s largest yacht charter fleets.

The price and the names of the buyer’s investment partners have not been disclosed, and the deal still depends on final agreements between the parties and regulatory approval.

If you have a charter booked

Nothing announced so far changes existing bookings. Your contract is with the charter company you booked, and a change of shareholder does not by itself change it. If you have a week planned with one of these operators, there is nothing to do today. Keep your confirmation to hand, and read any message from the operator once the deal closes.
