Wings Villa sits on eleven acres of hilltop in the Estate neighbourhood of Oil Nut Bay, the private resort community on the eastern tip of Virgin Gorda. Rather than one big house, it is a scatter of free-standing pavilions linked by paths through the scrub, each with its own plunge pool, so a group can gather and still disappear.
At the centre, The Nest holds the great room, the gourmet kitchen and a separate chef’s kitchen, the dining room and the Bird Bath, a heated infinity pool that drops into a 180-degree view of the sea. Seven pools in all, a fire pit for the evening, and the whole resort below: the Beach Club, the marina village and Nova, its overwater restaurant.
Six bedroom pavilions, each named after an island bird — Blue Heron, Mourning Dove, Osprey, Pelican, Kingfisher and Sandpiper — stand apart from the main house. Each is a small home in itself: bedroom, en-suite bathroom, dressing room, a kitchenette, an open-air shower and a private plunge pool on its own terrace.
The Nest adds a seventh sleeping space in its flex room (a Murphy bed), bringing the estate to seven bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and a half bath, for up to eighteen guests. Under air the estate measures 884 m² (9,513 sq ft), with another 1,300 m² of open-air living.
The villa comes with daily housekeeping and nightly turndown, a personalised concierge and three multi-passenger electric carts to move around the 400-acre resort. Daily breakfast at the Beach Club, ferry transfers within the North Sound, Wi-Fi and a local phone are included.
A private chef, butler service and in-villa dining can be arranged, as can airport transfers by boat or helicopter. Rates are per night for the whole estate, four-night minimum.
Oil Nut Bay occupies the easternmost tip of Virgin Gorda, in the British Virgin Islands, reached by a 35-minute private ferry from Beef Island airport or by helicopter to the resort’s own heliport. Wings stands on the highest ground of the Estate neighbourhood, with a private walking trail down to the resort centre.
