La Palmeraie is a private beachfront compound on the dunes above Pink Sands Beach, Harbour Island, made of two independent residences — the contemporary Modern House and the Balinese-inspired Asian House. The Modern House is the minimalist one: some 12,000 square feet of living space over three levels, double-height ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass and a 55-foot infinity-edge pool facing the Atlantic.
Nine suites sleep eighteen. Private gates open straight onto the pink sand, where beach attendants set up palapa umbrellas, loungers and chilled towels each morning, with paddleboards, kayaks and snorkelling gear waiting on the beach. Inside: a sauna, steam room and massage room, a fitness room, a private home theater and a games room. A rooftop deck with hot tub, reached by a spiral stair from the top floor, gives a 360-degree view of the island.
Nine suites over three floors for up to eighteen guests. The master suite, with a king bed, walk-in closet and private balcony over the beach, shares the top floor with suites 2 and 3, both king. Suites 4 to 7, all king, are on the main level with the living areas. On the ground floor a separate apartment at the south end holds suites 8 and 9 (queen beds, sharing a full bathroom) with its own living room, dining area and full kitchen — ideal for staff, older children or a second family.
The main living level is one open volume: lounge, dining for the whole party and a marble-island kitchen, all sliding open onto the coral-stone pool deck, daybeds and an outdoor dining loggia with gas grill and wet bar. Starlink internet, streaming tablets and two golf carts are included.
La Palmeraie runs with a full staff of twelve: an on-site property and house manager, guest managers, a dedicated housekeeping team, groundskeepers, beach attendants and maintenance. A guest-relations team in Miami handles the stay from first enquiry to departure, and a private chef and provisioning can be arranged.
Rates are per night and vary with the season, from $4,000 to $10,500 — ask our villa expert for dates and the minimum stay.
Harbour Island sits off the north-east tip of Eleuthera in the Bahamas: a three-mile pink-sand beach on the Atlantic side, golf carts instead of cars, and Dunmore Town’s pastel houses and restaurants at its centre. La Palmeraie stands on the dunes directly above Pink Sands Beach, with private gates onto the sand.
We represent four more houses on Harbour Island: Dune House, Villa Rosalita, Villa Doubles and Villa King’s Crown.
