Three Bees Estate is less a villa than a private resort reserved for one party at a time: a compound on Harbour Island with its own beach on Pink Sands Beach on the Atlantic side and a second, wind-sheltered beach on the bay, where the estate’s boats are kept. Thirteen bedrooms across the main villa, two cottages and open-air safari tents sleep twenty-six.
The estate runs all-inclusive, with meals and drinks, a private executive chef, a fleet of water toys and a 37-foot cruiser with its own captain. On land, golf carts and ATVs for Dunmore Town, lawns laid out for volleyball, badminton, croquet and bocce, a pool, a fitness room, a games room and a cinema.
Villa Bee, the main house, has the feel of a colonial plantation house with verandahs on both floors facing the ocean: a primary suite and four guest bedrooms, all with four-poster king beds and ensuite bathrooms, two of which can combine into a family suite, plus living rooms and a games room with billiards.
The Guest Cottage, twenty feet from the main house, adds three bedrooms (two four-poster kings, one with two full beds), all ensuite. Karukera, the beach cottage a minute’s walk away above Pink Sands Beach, has two ensuite bedrooms opening onto a wraparound terrace and a living-dining room with ocean views. On the bay side, three open-air luxury tents with four-poster beds, ensuite bathrooms and open showers sit steps from the sheltered beach.
Between fifteen and twenty-three staff on site: a property-management couple and personal concierge, a private executive chef and sous chef preparing three tailored meals a day from a pre-arrival questionnaire, butlers, stewards and waitstaff, a licensed boat captain and water-sports attendants, executive housekeepers and a laundress, gardeners and a maintenance engineer, kids’ activities staff and night security.

Harbour Island sits off the north-east tip of Eleuthera in the Bahamas: a three-mile pink-sand beach on the Atlantic side, golf carts instead of cars, and Dunmore Town’s pastel houses and restaurants at its centre.
