Casino Royale stands right on the water in Oil Nut Bay’s Ocean neighbourhood, a line of glass-fronted timber pavilions along the shore with the infinity pool on the sea’s edge and direct access to the water. The design is sleek and contemporary: floor-to-ceiling glass, pale wood and stone, and decks that run the length of the house.
Six ocean-view suites and a bunk room make it a house for a large family or two: 536 m² (5,771 sq ft) for up to sixteen guests, with the resort’s Beach Club, marina and restaurants a cart ride away.
Six suites face the water, each with its own bathroom: four with a king bed, two with two queens. A seventh bedroom is the bunk and games room, with two sets of bunks, a table-tennis table and its own bathroom. Seven full bathrooms and a half bath in all.
The great room opens onto a covered patio and an oversized covered dining area with an outdoor kitchen; there is an outdoor shower, a fire pit looking over the sea, a laundry room and ample parking for the electric carts.
Daily housekeeping and nightly turndown, a personalised concierge and electric carts are part of the stay, with daily breakfast at the Beach Club, scheduled ferry transfers within the North Sound, Wi-Fi, a local phone and a welcome drink and amenity.
A private chef is included for two to three evenings depending on the length of stay; further in-villa dining and butler service can be arranged through the concierge. Rates are per night, four-night minimum.
Oil Nut Bay occupies the easternmost tip of Virgin Gorda, in the British Virgin Islands, reached by a 35-minute private ferry from Beef Island airport or by helicopter to the resort’s own heliport. Casino Royale sits on the shoreline of the Ocean neighbourhood.
